This version of Curse of Strahd is meant for beginning players. The campaign will be relaxed and very forgiving. DM will instruct players on how to play and include feedback made on certain choices to help encourage growth and roleplaying ability.
Rise of Tiamat is campaign for experienced players. It pits a small group of adventurers with the daunting task of preventing the release of the walking apocalypse, Tiamat, from her hellish prison. This version of the campaign includes elements of the Against the Giants campaign.
So you want to or need to be a Dungeon Master for Dungeons and Dragons, but it's your first time being a DM and things feel overwhelming. This series of courses is meant to teach you the ins and outs and best practices of being a DM.

I've been a GM for over six years now. I've done many campaigns, weaving complex official DnD storylines together with my own bit of personal flair. I've also done a number of one shots and one page dungeons. These last ones can be the most fun as they often differ dramatically and put players in some very unusual situations.

For sessions, I primarily use tabletop simulator to create some elaborate 3d dungeons and then I stream the feed to a zoom channel where players make decisions for their characters and interact. A dnd beyond account is a good accessory to have, but not necessary if you have some other way to keep track of a 5E character.
